The American University Game Lab and FableVision Studios is hosting the Libraries, Games, and Play conference on April 6-7, 2019 at AU in Washington, DC, thanks to the generous support of the Institute of Museums and Library Services. The conference will explore and showcase innovative educational uses of games in library settings. The forum will bring together diverse stakeholders including leadership in school, public, and university libraries to provide best practices and future trends for games and game-based activities.

American University Game Lab

American University Game Lab The American University Game Lab serves as a hub for experiential education, persuasive play research, and innovative production in the fields of games for change and purposeful play. Both a Master’s degree and a Certificate program in Game Design are offered jointly by the School of Communication (SOC) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). Students get real-world experience by working on projects with the Game Studio, and with clients like the Educational Testing Service, the National Institute of Mental Health, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and WAMU 88.5.
