About the Institute . . .

The advergaming institute at Miami University is a new initiative with two objectives, research and production. The initiative is funded by generous gift from Proctor and Gamble and supported by the Miami University School of Fine Arts. It is affiliated with the Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies.

 

Through the A-Game Studio, the advergaming institute pairs students with clients interested in promoting their ideas and products through advertising games.  The advergaming institute is also involved in research involving the potential for analogue and digital games as tools of rhetoric and advertising.

 

Miami University offers a top 50 game design curriculm as identified by GamePro magazine and the Princeton Review. Coupled with innovative teaching and a highly motivated student body Miami University is an ideal place for the development of the advergaming institute.

The advergaming institute promotes research and education in advergaming through the production of advertising games, persuasive games and playful experiences designed to inform audiences.  Its model is based around the A-Game Studio, a faculty lead, and student organized design team.  Projects are executed by students for real clients.
